Friends and family, surgery was one week ago today (11/13/14). SLAP repair (for torn labrum), subacromial decompression (cleaned out the joint space), and biceps tenodesis (moved the biceps muscle tendon attachment and anchored it to the humerus). Surgery was fast and smooth, came home with a nerve block, exercises are excruciating (physical therapy will likely be a challenge), sling makes the left shoulder hurt more than the surgical shoulder, Percocet (too much of it) makes me sick, follow up appointment is tomorrow, and I have the best family and friends anyone could hope for. Wavell Darville (Dad) flew in(11/12/14) to stay with me and help out, so hes quite literally been my right arm and chauffeur. I dont know how anyone would get along all by their onesy after something like this.
