Friends, family, supporters, brothers amd sisters. I havw a question for you. What did you see on the news today? What did you hear on the radio? Reas anything that was important online or at the newstand? Well, Im guessing a majority of it, was pointless shit. So, here is some REAL news for you. 22 veterans a day, take their lives by their own hand. 1 Active Duty warfighter, claims his/her life every 23 hours. The sad part is, those 22 a day are estimated just from the states that report. If I remember correctly, theres 22 states where the VA doesnt report its suicide rate. Theres estimates of the number actually being 45-50 each day. America needs to wake up, and support the watch dogs. Too many of us are pushed aside and left astray over this PTS stigma that surrounds us. Why are abuse victims encouraged to seek help for their PTS by the government, but combat veterans have less rights than a prisoner in GITMO? Why are double amputees denied the very benefits they earned? Why are we letting our vets take their lives in such great numbers? Its time we all fight this together. Brothers and Sisters, I see so many stupid challenges floating around today. I challenge you all, to take the Spartan Pledge. I WILL NOT TAKE MY OWN LIFE BY MY OWN HAND, WITHOUT TALKING TO MY BATTLE BUDDY FIRST. MY MISSION IS TO FIND A MISSION TO HELP MY WARFIGHTER FAMILY I challenge you all to take this pledge with me, with us. For the greater cause. End veterans suicide today. End the stigma. Lets fight for what we have earned, and been denied. Support your brothers and sisters. Support the Warfighters Rights Movement. Respect the service members, no matter if you are for or against the war. Whether youre republican or democrat. We will never be same as you. We are a proud group of individuals who make up 1% of the United States population. We dont ask you to place us on a pedastool. We dont ask for special treatment. Yes, I will say receiving a Military Discount is a kind and much appreciated gesture, but that isnt what it boils down too. We want the same as everyone else. We want our culture, accepted by the general public. We want respect. Dont kick us down, dont hoist us up. Were all the same. We do this this love of country. No monetary gain is worth more to us, than knowing you all can still enjoy your daily lives, without fear of a government running through and killing you and your loved ones. If you see us in uniform, dont make that the only reason you buy us a meal. Its a nice gesture, but why do for one person, what you wont do for your neighbors? I ask you all, stand with the warfighter community. Help us fight for our freedoms back, just as we have fought for yours.
