Friends.... last year when I visited the UK... I happened to notice the job section of the local paper from my old home town in the UK. I was curious to see what the job situation was in comparison with the old days. To my surprise there were many bricklaying jobs but what really surprised me was that the wages were almost the same as when my son was born in 1989...!!! How disturbing it is to realise the gross incompetence of successive govern~ment representatives of everyday people in mismanaging the interests of the people of the UK. IS their appalling track record surely the justification for long overdue change to the system as clearly politicians are failures and the system just serves the obscenely wealthy and corporate/banking interests...? DIRECT DEMOCRACY could well be the solution to the biggest problem that has been facing all the people in living memory...... BAD Govern~ment. theguardian/worklifeuk/cost-of-living-1971-today
