Friends...on the morning the French celebrate Christmas (24th)... cages were erected blocking access to city benches, frequented by a growing number of homeless people in our nearby city of Angouleme. This has caused outrage from locals but lets face it... these sterile cages obviously have been planned in advance, they are purpose made for the job and the timing of the installation is most cruel and impacting at an emotional time of year. How has the establishment slipped to such low levels as to deliberately penalize the most vulnerable in society and collectively punish all the people with this blatant statement of FASCISM ...? Are these cages designed for maximum psychological impact...? These cages are not cheap....could they instead be helping the vulnerable people they are targeting if they wanted to, instead of magnifying austerity in France...?
