Frisco, Texas, Sunday, July 27, 6:54 PM I cant help but be nearly ecstatic, writing this note tonight as tomorrow is the time for our departure to Davao City and our new home aboard the sailing ship! Feelings of sadness at leaving our stateside friends and family are minimal by comparison to what Juli and I feel at returning to our mission home. The time is right and we know it. Thanks to so many of you around the world who have prayed for us during these three difficult months, we have emerged with continued confidence in Gods leadership. And I would be remiss without saying how thankful we are to our stateside family for their gracious understanding in letting us go. The difficulty of working far from my ancestral home is nil because of my familys love and support. As God permits, we will leave DFW tomorrow at 6:40 PM bound for San Francisco then Tuesday, we fly to Singapore and on to Davao, arriving there Thursday at 12:50 PM, Davao local time. Ill try to post updates of our travel while underway and once back at home, will begin again writing daily posts on Face Book. Thank you all for your prayers and words of encouragement. Thank you as well for all the things many of you have done to ease our burden and share our heartache. God bless you all. I am praying for you! I will post again...
