From Abi Baseer, he said: Abu Abdullah (PBUH) said: (O Abu Muhammad, verily, with us is a secret from the secrets of Allah, and a knowledge from the knowledge of Allah, by Allah, neither a prophet messenger, nor a close angel, nor a tested believer whom Allah has tested his heart for faith can bear it, by Allah, Allah has not assigned this to any other than us, and He has never made [someone to] worship Him by this except us. And indeed with us is a secret from the secrets of Allah, and a knowledge from the knowledge of Allah, Allah has commanded us to inform people [about it], Thus we informed them what He has commanded us to inform, so we did not find for it a place, nor a people, nor carriers whom can bear it, untill Allah has created peoples to [bear] it, they were created from a clay, from [the same clay that] Muhammad and his Family and his Progeny (PBUT) [were created from], and from a light which Allah has created Muhammad and his Progeny from, and He made them by the Grace of his Mercy from which He made Muhammad and his Progeny. Thus we have informed from Allah what He has commanded us to inform, thus they accepted it, and they handled it [they were informed about this from us thus they accepted it and could bear it], and they were informed about our remembrance, so their hearts inclined towards knowing us and our hadiths. If it wasn’t for [the fact that] they were created from that, they would not have been as such, no by Allah, they would not have handled it. Then he said: Verily, Allah has created peoples to the abyss and hell fire, so He commanded us to inform them like we informed [the others], so they were disgusted by [what we informed them], and their hearts were repelled [by it], and they returned it back to us and they could not bear it, and they disbelieved in it (belied it), and they said ‘a lying magician’. Thus, Allah has stamped over their hearts and made them forgetful of that, then He has made their tongue pronounce with some of the truth, for they utter it while their hearts deny it, in order that this may be protection for His preferred ones and the people of His obedience. And if it weren’t for that, Allah would not have been worshiped on His Earth. So He has commanded us to cease from them and to hide and conceal. So secrete from those whom Allah has commanded to cease from, and hide from whom Allah has commanded to hide and conceal from. He said: then he (PBUH) raised his hands and wept, and he PBUH said: (O Allah, verily they are a little group, so may You make their life our life, and their death our death, and do not give power to their enemies over them lest u make us agonize over them [from a tragedy they could be afflicted by], for if You made us agonize over them [from a tragedy they could be afflicted by] you will not be worshiped ever on your Earth, and may Allah send His peace and blessings upon Muhammad and the Family of Muhammad) Al Kafi: volume 1, page 402, hadith 5
