From Armenia, we drove to Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia for a short visit, meeting the President, the Prime Minister, and the Foreign Minister. Last year Georgia signed a partnership agreement with the European Union, and aspires to enter the EU. UNDP has strong programmes there across governance, livelihoods, and environment as elsewhere in this region. I will post the wrap up statement on my visit below. I made a longer visit to Georgia early last year, so was pleased to catch up with progress since then. The photos show me with the Prime Minister, Irakli Garibashvili, and of historic Tbilisi by night.
