From Athens Police Chief Floyd Johnson: Yesterday afternoon Lt. Chris Slaton and Investigator Eric White arrested a man on 3 counts of unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle and one count of third-degree theft. The department received a complaint that 3 cars had been broken into and a ficus tree had been stolen from the lobby at the Quad-Plex on Thomas Street. Video showed a man taking the tree and going into the parking lot and entering the vehicles.
