From Blondies 1978 album Parallel Lines the song was inspired by one of Debbie Harrys ex-boyfriends who stalked her after they split up. Although the track was never officially released as a single in the United Kingdom, the song charted here in February 2013 due to success of One Directions cover One Way or Another (Teenage Kicks). I know which one I prefer. :-) Rolling Stone ranked this song No.298 on its list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
