[***Apparently Disney, Inc., owns a certain epic space movie series and sent us a little note that they would lightsaber us if we came close to their storyline again . . .] Next week’s money bomb theme is Keep Calm and Join the Rebellion. Whether it’s battling unconstitutional surveillance or sham budget deals, he’s not afraid to challenge the status quo to defend our principles. That’s made him some powerful enemies. “The Republican establishment has lost confidence in Justin,” is the way one CEO put it after his request for special favors was rebuffed. Justin’s establishment opponent, Brian Ellis, already has pumped $200,000 of his own money into the race. He has used that money to blanket West Michigan with ads that lie about Justin’s principled record. We believe Ellis has put hundreds of thousands more into his campaign account so far this year. The primary election is only 4.5 months away. It’s make or break time. We need the resources to defend Justin and respond to the attacks -- fast. Thousands of grassroots supporters from across the country chipped in to make our last money bomb a huge success. The money bomb allowed us to invest in technology that will advance our ground game and bring our voters to the polls. More than that, though, it showed that Justin’s supporters have his back. Starting at 12:01 AM on Tuesday, March 25, we have the chance to surprise the political establishment. They think that they’ve caught us sleeping, that we’re focused on other races. In the meantime, they’ve quietly doubled down on Ellis. Let’s show them how wrong they are. Rebelling against the Washington political establishment is a group effort. We must show strength in numbers by reaching out to friends, family, and neighbors for help. FreedomWorks PAC and its president, Matt Kibbe, were in town on Tuesday to endorse Justin for re-election. FreedomWorks PAC is the campaign affiliate of FreedomWorks, a grassroots organization made up of more than six million members who are committed to free markets and individual liberty. Justin is one of only two House members who maintain a perfect 100 percent lifetime score with the group. “Congressman Justin Amash is the gold standard when it comes to fighting for individual liberty and a constitutionally-limited government,” said Kibbe. “He is a trusted vote to repeal Obamacare and a fearless advocate for transparency and accountability in Washington,” continued Kibbe. “Amash’s commitment to pro-freedom policy stands in stark contrast to his opponent, who has made it clear that he won’t let the Constitution get in the way of his agenda.
