From Craig Grammer, Sr. Minister Hey everybody, I hope your Wednesday is off to a great start! I wonder what opportunities, what challenges, what encouragement the Lord will meet us in today? For today’s thought I would like to take you back to Sunday and explore Elijah’s defeat a little more with you. Since we are traveling together as a community I would love to stop and rest over the lessons from last week. Satan tried to knock Elijah out of the game using three very effective tools; disappointment, fear and fatigue. A question I challenged you to think about was a pretty deep ask… If Satan were going to try and knock you out of the game which one would he, is he going to use? A perfect storm would include all 3 at the same time. When Elijah dropped out, God ran after him in order to bring restoration. God met Elijah’s fatigue with refreshment. God met Elijah’s fear by taking him back to a holy place and reminding Elijah about his power. God met Elijah’s disappointment by re-commissioning him. I would love to hear what you took away last week. Is there anything you applied or need to apply? If God were going to refresh you today, what would that look like? If God were going to remind you today of something to ease your fear, what would it be? If God were going to re-commission you today, what would it look like?
