From Debra Boyle: A big THANK YOU to everyone who helped with the BUPA CHARITY OPEN this weekend at Ravenscraig!! This year more clubs and individuals got involved! Thank you! Judoscotland especially Frania and Tam! Thank you! Tam Brown (competition controller) Susan Wright (Senior recorder), David McSkimming (Senior Referee) and Lesley Eadie (Announcements) Thank you! to the referees and officials, many of whom donated their expenses, for your hard work! Thank you! : Susan Wright, Jan Love and the parents and players of Clyde Judo Club who organised and ran the tombola, guess the bears birthday and raffle, which raised £500! George Brown and GSB Judo Club who ran a sponsored throw raising £360 and still counting! SJCA who ran a sponsored throw raising £320 and still counting! Neil and Andy Malone and Hibarikan Judo Club who donated £100!! Brian Hewitt and South Side Judo Club who raised £50 selling Children 1st badges! Brian Long and Pro Judo for donations to the raffle! James and David Millar of Active Judo who took the warm up on the Saturday and a session for the Disability players on the Sunday! Robert Daily of South Side Judo for being our official photographer (photos to follow)! Bupa Care Homes for providing sponsorship and amazing refreshments throughout the day! All our amazing volunteers who worked tirelessly both days! And of course to all the players, coaches and players! Total raised to follow!! Thank you all!!
