From Dr. Sophia Yin -- With the rise of “grain-free” and “low-carb” dog kibble, it can seem like carbohydrates should be avoided in dog food. But recent investigations show that because dogs evolved as scavengers of discarded human food, they have developed an ability that help them eat the foods that humans eat—they have the ability to digest and use carbohydrates. Remember, dogs are not wolves! They have been domesticated over thousands of years. We want our canine companions to live much LONGER & healthier lives than a wolf in the wild would have.
