The associated shower and thunderstorm activity continues to gradually organize, and a tropical depression could form during the next day or so while the system moves westward or west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph. There is a 70 percent chance of tropical cyclone formation in the next 48 hours and an 80 percent chance of tropical cyclone formation in the next five days.
