From Food Allergy Research & Education: The SafeFARE website (safefare.org) offers tools and resources for diners with food allergies, including tips to use before and during a visit to a restaurant, a customizable “Food Allergy Alert” chef card, and a searchable restaurant database that enables visitors to locate food allergy aware restaurants in their area. To qualify for inclusion in the searchable database, restaurants must have at least one staff member who has completed either the National Restaurant Association’s ServSafe® Allergens Online Course or MenuTrinfo’s AllerTrain™ course. Restaurants are required to update their listings every year.
