From Gods perspective, all of existence is a part of His divine lila, His joyous, playful pastimes. All reality exists for the purity of Gods joy and purpose alone. From our present viewpoint, however, we view reality in accordance with our distorted perspectival prism. We, as illusion-bound beings, tend to see both the universe, and Gods relation to it, in a more limited functional dynamic because we necessarily view reality from within the context of our own seemingly separate interest. Upon cultivating our innate devotional consciousness (bhakti), however, our perspectival awareness is then transformed from seeing God in merely functional terms to then seeing that dynamic in purely spiritual terms; i.e., from Gods unlimited perspectival vision. Only then, in a meta-bound state, do we as individual atmans have the ability to also understand the world and everything within it as being, indeed, Gods perfect lila . Nothing is outside of the scope of God or Gods lila. There is only the temporary illusion that something exists outside of God and Gods lila. To know and to experience this truth is the ultimate project of Yoga. - Sri Dharma Pravartaka Acharya
