From Improv Acadia, who gave me one of the best summer gigs Ive ever had: ImprovAcadia Announces Chicago Auditions for their Twelfth Season ImprovAcadia, a short form improvisational theater located in Bar Harbor, ME, will hold auditions in Chicago on March 17th & 18th at The Annoyance Theater (851 W. Belmont). Callbacks will be held on March 20th at The Bughouse Theater (1910 W. Irving). The auditions are an hour long and will consist of short form improvisation, improvisational singing and scene work. To audition, you must have 2 years of training and 2 years of stage experience. We provide housing. This is a paid position. You can register for an audition by e-mailing improvacadia@mindspring. Please provide your name, your cellphone number and your top two time choices. You will receive confirmation of your time slot via e-mail. The time choices are: Tuesday, March 17th (one hour slots) 2p 3p 4p 5p 6pm Wednesday, March 18th (one hour slots) 3p 4p 5p 6pm ImprovAcadia is owned and operated by Jennifer Shepard and Larrance Fingerhut. After working for ten years in the Chicago improv community, they founded ImprovAcadia in 2004 in Bar Harbor, ME which is adjacent to Acadia National Park. ImprovAcadia is a professional theater that provides high quality scenic short form to local and tourist audiences. Were open six to seven nights a week and do one to two shows a night for audiences that are, for the most part, new to improv.
