From Ingemar Lundgren: After years of hard work an authentic replica of one of Vasas main guns is completed. Cast in solid bronze just like they made them in the 17th century. The goal was to test its power and ballistics. There has been debate on how effective the canons during the that time was. Could they really penetrate a warship oak hull? Well here is the answer. Pretty impressive to say the least. Imagine back in the days when they fired an entire broad side of these cannons. Must have been a horrible and at the same time awesome sight!
