From Itsjono Atlast: Well,,,, just returned from a debate in which we absolutely destroyed an ill informed unprepared clown who knew nothing about the issues regarding fracking, when i say destroyed, he threw the mike down & nearly walked out on one occasion, several people left, saying they couldnt listen to his drivel any longer. He was irritating at best. Im talking about Nick Grealy, an energy consultant, supporter of extracting shale gas and publisher of No Hot Air, publisher? He was hot air & nothing else. He had no prepared notes & failed to even get on topic. Anneliese Dodds, who is a Labour Party Euro MEP candidate in the South East. presented with confidence & gave a good account of herself although her ideas may have not been those of all attending. Alan Rew, a Balcombe resident, who is Professorial Research Fellow with the Birla Institute of Management Technology; gave by far the most informative & honest answers & was very helpful with his detailed information. A few of us managed to get questions in & Nikki Sanger Graeme Mackie & myself did just that, i was really happy to get a round of applause from the audience when i announced my name & that i had spent the summer by the side of the road in Balcombe & that i was proud to have done so. The whole thing was videoed & i will be putting up short extracts when i have sorted through it. I will try to make the audio available through Soundcloud as well . All in all a good evening out & a battle won. I was really surprised at the low level of opposition we received, if this is the best they can do we need not worry too much about public opinion being anti the Mother Frackers !!! Am i alone in thinking he looks like Victor Meldrew? The phrase I dont believe it springs to mind !!
