From KRGV TV The Texas Department of Public Safety will be awarded a $120,000 grant to expand Operation Drawbridge. At a press conference on Thursday, the Texas Agriculture commissioner and the chair of the Texas Public Safety Commission are expected to formally announce the grant. Operation Drawbridge installs and monitors motion-detecting cameras on farms and ranches in proximity to the Texas/Mexico border. The program is led by DPS, border sheriffs and the U.S. Border Patrol.
