From Larry Pape, state tournament coordinator: To all Participants and Coaches, Important notes about Harlan County Reservoir, Gremlin Cove and the Tournament. --This will be the last email you receive form me unless there are other changes.— *Tournament online registration closes at noon on Thursday. All day-of registration will be charged an additional $25. *Bring along one completed release form for each student and the coach (three total). Attached *Read the rules. [email protected] *Harlan County Reservoir water level is currently about 10-12 feet low. This means that you cannot expect to fish woody habitat along the shoreline like we had hoped. But recent fishing reports indicate that largemouth bass fishing is good throughout the lake, with small bags of larger fish being caught. *Gremlin Cove boat launch is functional, but space is very restricted in the bay. It is essentially a channel out to the lake. We will need to work with your cooperation in getting boats launched on Saturday morning. This means that we may have several launch prior to the 6 AM meeting, and the rest launch after. We will not release any boat to fish until all are on the water. Further instructions will be given when you check in. Please understand and be patient. *Gremlin Cove boat ramp requires a $3 day-use fee (US Army Corp of Engineers). There is a self-serve fee-pay station at the boat ramp. Tournament logistics: 5 AM - Check-in/Registration (look for us near the southeast edge of the boat ramp area in the big white tent) 6 AM – Mandatory student and coach meeting 7 AM – Fishing begins (or when we get ALL the boats on the water) Note: Boats will be released to fish according to their NGPC# number.
