From Lost Glasgow: Friday night is movie night so, put on the kettle, pop a can, sit down and put your feet up for what can only be described as a science-fiction classic. Made in 1971, it shows how the city planners thought Glasgow would look in 1980. Sadly, for many citizens, the ambitious castles in the sky soon turned out to be damp-ridden middens. And no matter how good the view from your balcony, it wasnt much use if the lifts were permanently on the blink and full of stink... The film was directed by famed Glasgow street photographer Oscar Marzaroli - The Marzaroli Collection and edited by Bill Forsyth, who would later direct Gregorys Girl and Local Hero.
