From Mama C, Please share!!! Hi Folks; I am not usually in favor of sending out mass mailings, either snail or by email but if the situation warrants it, I DO IT. In this case, this is a situation that has occurred right here in my home town and is effecting my # 2 son, his wife, his 18 employees and about 4 other tenants that are renting in the same bldg. which the bank has foreclosed on. It isnt the fault of the tenants who maintained their fiduciary responsibilities per their lease to the landlord (my son being one of them) but it was the fault of the landlord who took the tenants monthly rent and put it in a private account of hers and DID NOT make the mortgage payments on the bldg. Of course the Bank holding the note ultimately foreclosed on the property. Will they negotiate with the tenants or work with the tenants, NO. Are they taking in to consideration that these businesses are a viable and contributing icon in the community, who are providing services and providing jobs and keeping their share of folks out of the Welfare lines, off Unemployment and away from other Give-away programs sponsored by the government, ultimately, in the long run, we tax payers; HECK NO! Do you know why this Bank, like so many across this State and this Nation, wont help the little folks? Money. Did you hear me? - Thats right! - MONEY It seems the Banks make more money getting Government funding (tax money from you and me) if their newly foreclosed building is empty rather than letting the existing tenants stay put, continue to do business, continue to pays their share of B & O taxes, Income taxes, Unemployment taxes, Labor and Industries fees and . . . (shall I go on?). . . . and provide a service to the community that apparently is much needed, appreciated and wanted. Just check out the Facebook blurbs for Tommy Cs posts and the comments coming from a donation site with: gofundme/kh598c . These comments are straight from the heart. I guess my bottom line is: Why should a Bank who has the note on a foreclosed piece of property where ever in these United States of America be entitled to Government Funding (tax money from you and I) when they have good rent money coming in from tenants, yet force these businesses out of business putting huge quantities of employees out on the street and forced to collect Unemployment (again, tax money from you and I). It just isnt right and as one of my sons says: Its re-damn-diculous!. Id like to say more, but being the Lady that I am, ........em!!!! So, as Tom says below (please keep reading, I know I am a bit verbose) and you will get the drift. Please keep this going - if it goes far enough, it just might change a Nation. Ginny
