From Melanie - Adam is out of Intensive Care and in a unit called Neurology Special Care. He is completely off his ventilator and doing great. Tomorrow they are going to make a change on his trach so they can try to get him to use his voice. His mouth is still wired shut so he will be very limited. I saw him make bigger movements with both arms and his right leg. Peter Lawry and Mark Haynes came to visit in the afternoon, when they said goodbye to him, Adam gave them a little wave. This was really exciting because I thought Adam waved to Pastor Cook yesterday, but I wasnt sure. Now I feel more sure that he did. Then a physical therapist came to work with Adam. She gave Adam a wash cloth and told him to wash his face. She had to hold up his arm, but Adam moved his fingers to wash his face. It was time for me to go, and the physical therapist told Adam to wave goodbye to me, and he did it. Most of this happened between 1:00-2:00 this afternoon. It was amazing.
