From Michael Shepard: I normally dont share my personal experiences, however, I just had the opportunity to speak with John Evans, local coordinator, with Marine Corps League Toys For Tots program for Cherokee County. I just wanted to post to our readers the fundraiser going on right now benefits the Toys for Tots program, as well as Martins Creek School, and 100% of proceeds are spent right here in Cherokee County for the local community children. It is a great deed for people to bring in the presents for the Toys for Tots program, however, many times they have more than enough for an age group while not enough for other age groups. By raising funds they are able to purchase the gifts needed for the age group that may be short on gifts. This is a great way to support the Toys for Tots program so they can have funds needed to purchase the correct age group items they need. We are just glad to be in a position to be able to donate an item with an opportunity to win a great prize just for giving your support. As many readers may feel, this is being promoted in order to promote the business No Contract Cellular, however, this is not the case. No Contract Cellular is fortunate enough to be in a position to offer those that support these programs an opportunity to win something while showing their support. I myself am a Marine, serving my country not only while stationed in the US, but had the opportunity to serve my county in Bosnia, Herzegovina, taking part of Operation Deny Flight and Operation Strong Resolve. I generally dont share my personal background, however, I felt it is important for our readers to know I have a personal connection to the Marine Corps, and believe in what the Marine Corps League does for our community. I also feel that children that meet or exceed goals in life can learn that by setting goals and exceeding expectations has rewards, and can better themselves in the future. Please show your support to these programs by joining us in buying tickets to win these great prizes at our location No Contract Cellular or Martins Creek School. We can take credit card or checks at our store for your support in purchasing tickets that 100% of proceeds go directly back to benefit Cherokee County. Tickets are on sale until Monday at 12:00pm wp.me/p3kTUx-10p
