From Mobile weather: Given we continue the trend of downgrading TS Karen to a Tropical Depression within the next 24 hours...it was decided to cancel the Tropical Storm Watch for the Alabama and Northwest Florida Gulf Coasts. We will still see periods of winds tomorrow 25 to 35 mph in periodic showers and thunderstorms ...but wind and coastal flood issues should be minor. We may end up hoisting a Coastal Flood Advisory tomorrow for minor flooding of less than 2 feet inundation in our usual trouble spots along the coast. There is also a small threat for isolated brief tornadoes in stronger storms tomorrow...but a significant outbreak of severe storms is not anticipated.
