From Mom...I had to go to work today like a normal person. Dogs were home from about 10am to 5pm. No incident. All quiet. But I think one Mr. Newmore was bored. I got home and he had my sweater off the bed and was rolling in it on the floor. He took a towel off the shelf and pulled a pouch out of a basket in the bathroom. Had the carpet in the kitchen rolled back. None of that until I came home. I wonder if he wanted his dinner and that was Mr. Newmore speak for feed me. Romped in a circle around the house while I made his 5 star dinner, inhaled it, went out, ate his pills in the treats, and is now passed out in the dog bed in the living room. Everyone has cabin fever on a rainy day I suppose. Its clear he had to forage for food for quite some time. Eating with gusto is sort of an understatement. While he had a pigs ear in his mouth (a treat for being such a good boy today) I did another test. I tried to take it from him. Had it in my hands and tried to pull it away. Not a growl, not a peep. Held on to it with his life of course, but not one ounce of aggression. Good boy. He takes treats from my hand with no pause now. Then licks my fingers when I put my hand back out with nothing in it. Getting more comfortable here every day. Looking forward to the weekend and better weather. We need to take a walk and get this boy some exercise. Wish me luck cuz Ill need it. No way Im getting out of the house with only one dog. Well be a cluster of six dogs and one female human who drops the F bomb really loudly every fifteen steps. Super fun.
