From Plaid Cymru leader, Leanne Wood AM: English We need to send the strongest possible message Dear Member We are now in a crucial period in our history. The recent polls show that the result of the Scottish Referendum is on a knife edge. Plaid Cymru is doing all we can to support the efforts of the Yes Campaign who have worked so hard to involve, engage and inform Scottish people in what has become one of the most remarkable grassroots movements ever seen in UK politics. Many of us have been inspired by the amazing achievements of the Yes Campaign and the positive and exciting message they have managed to communicate to thousands of people on the doorstep, in village and town halls and online – inspiring people of all backgrounds and generations. This Saturday we hope to send the strongest possible message of support to people in Scotland. I will be speaking at the Wales Supporting Yes event at 2pm outside the Senedd, Cardiff Bay. People are coming from all over Wales. The result of the referendum will determine the nature of the future of the UK, and we can help with that. Showing our support for the Scottish people on Saturday will send a clear message that Plaid Cymru wants to see a Wales that will be able to determine its role in that future.
