Police probe is yet to prove the allegations levied by the actress, but this is not the first time a celebrity has faced such a situation. We give you a list of actresses who have been a victim of molestation. Koena Mitra Model-turned-actress Koena Mitra was attacked by a stalker inside the Sahara Star Hotel in Mumbai on New Years Eve after she had performed there. The man cam upto her and wanted to shake handsbut he later pounced upon the actress. Bipasha Basu A man reportedly groped Bipasha Basu soon after she entered Rain, a nightspot in Juhu at around 11 pm on February 28, 2003. Boyfriend John Abraham chased the man, who tried to flee through the exit, and thrashed him. “I didn’t beat the man who tried to mess around with Bipasha. I taught him a lesson,” Abraham said later. “I will do so with anyone else who tries to do the same.” Basu, who was caught unawares, was stunned and apparently cried for a while before leaving with Abraham. She didn’t register a police complaint and the man was never identified. Esha Deol A man tried to take advantage of the crowd at Pune’s premiere of Dus at E-Square on August 11, 2005, to get extremely close to Esha Deol and misbehaved with her. Deol realised what the man was up to, slapped him and nonchalantly walked away. Apparently, she struck him so hard that he fell a couple of feet away. “I did it out of self- defence,” Deol said later. Kim Sharma Kim Sharma was sitting with Urmila Matondkar and a couple of other friends at the Grand Hyatt’s China House on December 23, 2007, when a man walked up to her and tried to misbehave. A fight ensued between her friends and the man following which hotel authorities showed him the door. Sharma, who left with her friends soon after, described the incident as “disgusting” and declined to say much about it. “We told the hotel authorities to ask the bouncers to throw the guy out. Before the bouncer intervened, the guy pushed my friend.That’s what led to the fight.” Celina Jaitley In September 2005, aman tried to touch Celina Jaitley while she was giving an interview for a television channel in Mauritius. Katrina Kaif In October 2005, Katrina Kaif got molested by a mob in Kolkata. After the event was over, while Katrina was on the way to her car, the crowd overpowered the security personnel and started grabbing and touching her. Sushmita Sen In October 2009, Sushmita Sen was mobbed by a crowd of anxious fans while inaugurating a jewellery store in Pune.Crazy fans almost pushed her on her car narrowly missing a bad fall. Minissha Lamba In 2011, Minissha Lamba had to run for her life in her bare minimums! The actress was shooting for a mens magazine cover at a beach in Goa when she got mobbed. Since the petite actress was dressed in beachwear, an over-enthusiastic crowd accumulated and started closing in on her in order to click her pictures.Sensing the crowd, the shoot was quickly shifted to another location. Minissha Lamba Yes, the crowd was getting a little out of control but quick thinking saved the day, Minissha told Mid-Day. Sonakshi Sinha Dabangg actress Sonakshi Sinha too was harassed by a group of boys, who not only passed comments on the actress but also touched her on her shoulder and arms.The incident took place in Gandhi garden near Mantralaya in South Mumbai, where three NGOs from the city paid tribute to those who lost their lives during the 26/11 carnage two years ago, reported umbai Mirror. An eyewitness narrated the incident to Mumbai Mirror, “Sonakshi was quietly leaving the event around 5.30 pm when Sonakshi suddenly a large group of people began following her. Most of these people seemed to be her fans, but a few miscreants who had been lurking around all this while, cut throught the crowd to reach her.” Sonakshi’s bouncers came to her rescue and escorted her to a safe zone. Sonakshi was apparently in tears while stepping into the car that escorted her. Gul Panag In 2010, during a half marathon in the capital, Gul Panag was groped by the men standing at the starting point. They touched the actress and later ran away taking the advantage of the crowd. The actress didnt file a complaint as she could not recognise the men. Shweta Menon Shweta Menon filed a case of molestation against Congress MP N Peethambara Kurup recently. She , however, later withdrew a complaint. Evelyn Sharma Actor Evelyn Sharma was harassed by a group of boys during her visit toher hometown in Frankfurt, Germany. A source close to Evelyn said that the boys started to click her photographs on their phone and refused to stop when Evelyn politely asked them to do so. When she retorted, the boys continued to follow her. They are even said to have passed lewd comments, but Evelyn hopped into a cab and managed to escape. She conjectures that the boys were in their mid-20s. Rakhi Sawant Item girl Rakhi Sawant had filed a molestation case against Punjabi pop singer Mika in 2006 for forcibly kissing her at a function in Mumbai. According to sources, Rakhi, who gave bold scenes in Deepak Tijoris Khamosh, was dancing with her friends at the function on Saturday night when Mika, younger brother of Punjabi pop king Daler Mehndi, came and reportedly kissed her against her will. In the complaint, she also stated that Mikas bodyguard assaulted her friend.
