From: Revelation 15:1-8 Chapter fifteen introduces us to the fifth vision. First, John saw seven angels with the seven last plagues which completed the fury of God or His judgment upon the wicked. Next, he saw those who had overcome “the beast, and of its image, and of its mark, of the number of its name”; moreover, “they stand upon the glass sea having the harps of God.” They were those saints, tried and true; they ruled and reigned with Christ, and rejoiced in the victory that they had acquired through the Lamb, because they sung the victory song of Moses and of the Lamb (cf chapter four). Following, John saw the sanctuary of the tabernacle of testimony open in heaven: open, because “God is not a man that he should be deceitful, nor a son of man that He should relent (Numbers 23:19, Tanakh).” The angels proceeded from the sanctuary with seven golden bowls: signifying judgments to be “poured out” [“because righteous and true are your ways King of saints (vs. 3)”] in contrast to the trumpets that signified warnings; the judgments depict finality in respect to the consequences for sin. Again, the prayers of the saints were being answered (cf 8:5). Next, God prepared to execute His judgments; John saw smoke fill the sanctuary from the glory and power of God, as in the day of Moses, Aaron, and Miriam (Numbers 12), no one could enter the tabernacle/sanctuary when God entered in judgment.
