From Reverend Patty: To the LDS women seeking to receive priesthood, My thoughts and prayers are with you in this struggle for dignity and equality. It is a worthy struggle, watched over by your sisters from the early Mormon Church. You are listening to what your hearts tell you about fairness and about your spiritual gifts that need expression within your beloved church community just as I feel my Mormon pioneer ancestor Patty Bartlett Sessions encouraging me in my Unitarian Universalist ministry. May you feel the expressed love from your cousins in the South Valley Unitarian Universalist congregation along with steadfast courage of your early saints adding their strength to yours. Let us be proud of a church that began with an eye toward radical transformation of humble human souls into divine possibilities. Be blessed and protected in this worthy desire to reach your full potential within your chosen faith.
