From Robert Standridge: Speaking of transparency. Let me tell - TopicsExpress

From Robert Standridge: Speaking of transparency. Let me tell you this little story. I went to research some things on the school website under State Mandated Information. The district had not posted minutes from the school board meetings for the last 7 (SEVEN!!) months. After 6 phone calls to 3 different people at the Arkansas Dept. of Education I found a gentleman to help me. He said he called Mr. Jerry Owens and the problem would be resolved. After two weeks of NOTHING this gentleman e-mail him and told him to fix it now. Oddly enough it was all posted the next day. The district has also not posted the results of the 2012-2013 school year audits. Those have been available since 3-19-2014. I had to have someone from the state to e-mail me a copy. I realize Im a dumb red-neck with a Dover Public Schools education but if I know these things how can an entire district and board all not know their website doesnt meet state standards? Unless of course you want to keep people in the dark. Can anyone explain this to me. Remember, keep it simple Jerry thinks Im a dumb red-neck with a Dover Public Schools education :)
