From Rory Cripps page...I 101% AGREE!!! They Really Hate Obamas Guts! The outright hatred that some Americans have for Obama and their fear of the man is astounding. Of course the hatred and fear are based on pure emotion, ignorance, racism, and so forth as opposed to the facts. And in a number of cases it betrays a psychopathology. For example: As soon as Obama was elected, gun and ammunition sales here in America skyrocketed. And the vast majority of gun and ammo purchasers were white. And the gun and ammo purchases were not confined to any particular economic class. Indeed, poor, working class, middle class and upper class whites all went out and purchased significant amounts of guns and ammunition. There were a number of reasons for the skyrocketing gun and ammunition sales. One reason being that many on the right actually believed that Obama was going to take their guns away or pass laws against their purchasing guns, round them up, and throw them into concentration camps. The reaction was nothing less than hysteria and paranoia of the kind that we associate with paranoid schizophrenics and other forms of mental illnesses. Then theres the complete lack of understanding on the part of all too many Americans re how the American economy works, or doesnt work, and the limited role that a U.S. President plays when it comes to economic policy. Theres no sense in even attempting to have a dialogue with the Obama haters because theyre incapable of handling and presenting the historical facts in a fair and even-handed manner, relative to the politicians who appeal to their world view and pander to their base emotions. It amounts to an exercise in futility—PIGEON CHESS. Making eye contact with them, as it were, is as non-productive, futile and dangerous as making eye contact with a mentally ill homeless person out on the streets whos off their meds. In other words, they hold Obama to a much, much higher standard than they do their guys because if they didnt hold Obama to a much, much higher standard theyd be denigrating Obama for much, much, less than what their guys did. Ill say this and its based on the historical facts which cannot be denied: Obama was nowhere around when the economy crashed. A crash which was almost as devastating as the Great Depression. And those who know their history know that consequent to the Great Depression it took over a decade and a world war (WW II) before the American economy rebounded. Moreover, Obama was nowhere around when his predecessor invaded Iraq and Afghanistan and spent $TRILLIONS in the process. $TRILLIONS, by the way, which contributed significantly to the national debt and deficit. In regard to the national debt and deficit, the economic, statistical and mathematical facts are that the deficit reached about $1.3 TRILLION prior to Obama stepping foot into the White House and the debt was rising exponentially for about two years prior to Obama stepping foot into the White House. Those debt and deficit numbers are easily verifiable via numerous economic data bases. In other words, Obama was left with a big pile of crap which he had absolutely nothing to do with creating, yet his political opponents seized upon the American peoples ignorance, fears and emotions. And instead of pitching in and working together during a time of crisis for the good of the nation, Obamas political opponents merely assigned the blame to Obama. And they did so without any shame whatsoever. This is the American way . . . ?
