From Tairawhiti REAP: If you could take a few minutes to fill out this survey attached. The aim of this survey is to elicit, from a wide range of respondents, their perceptions on the needs of their communities, and any barriers or disadvantages to learning achievement that may exist for their children or students. The rationale behind canvassing people for their individual views is not to be overtly judgemental. Rather, it is to ascertain any general gaps in delivery and to provide a premise for how Tairawhiti REAP may help fill these voids. In other words, this exercise is all about identifying local priorities in relation to our children’s educational well-being and the possible solutions to address these deficits. The outcomes from this needs analysis may well determine the direction, shape and form that our REAP will take in the future.
