From:Telegraph Nepal Surprisingly, leader Baburam Bhattarai of Unified Maoists did not criticize Nepal’s former King Gyanendra Shah in an interaction with the civil society leaders in Bhaktapur, August 3, 2013. Has he conceded defeat with Kamal Thapa? Nonetheless, he has made another interesting remark. “The force that has been ruling Nepal since the signing of Sugauli Treaty, 1816, as a semi-colonial state does not want Constituent Assembly election to take place”, said Baburam indirectly pointing figure at India and claimed, “Because it (implied India) fears that if Nepal gets its constitution, Nepalis will be independent and aware thus it will be very difficult to rule Nepal once again.” Are you listening S.D. Muni? Is Baburam trying to draw the attention of his mentors seated in New Delhi back towards him or is he trying to clean his ‘anti-national image’ or even he is trying to point towards the possible shift in India’s policy? Unlike his pro-India image, this sudden volcanic eruption against Indian regime is indeed mysterious, critics claim. Baburam also said that if constituent assembly election could not be held on November 16, it will never take place again.
