By saying from our secrets, you are acknowledging that there is information kept from the citizens we SWORE to protect and defend from threats foreign AND DOMESTIC. Lorie pointed out the intention of my book is to be insightful for both citizens and law enforcers. I dont want to see a murderer go free at the same time I am tired of citizen rights being trampled by uninformed officers. The book should be read by every officer. I am not writing this for profit; there is actually little to no profit in a book of this kind (do the research. Ask Balko how much he made from Warrior Cop.) I am writing this as a way of paying back to the citizens of the United States for their trust to allow me to protect them. John, click the link and read the introduction. It may alter your opinion. And if it doesnt, then I respect your view. However, I do believe anyone that maintains the we need to keep our secrets, green shirts/blue shirts, fall far from the tree, and bleach the cloth from which I was cut are irresponsible and have no business in public service. Those phrases smack of gang mentality/psychology enforcing the the thin blue line. If the law enforcement wants to be backed by their citizenry, they have to remember they answer to those citizens, they dont control them. Cheers and thanks Beau for the shoutout!
