From Timothy in Tucker, AZ: I found Just Another Spiritual Book so profound in its teachings on grief in the part about Josh leaving home, and Ive been able to apply those thoughts to my own life as I approach my late daughters birthday tomorrow. thoughts and reverberations of those words led me to write this letter and to thank you, once again, for having such an amazing effect on my life. My daughter was run over by the school bus while i was in county jail. Due to my incarceration, I was unable to attend the funeral, and I have lived in a deep denial and numbness ever since. Now, as I approach what would be her 9th birthday, I am equipped with an arsenal of tools to overcome this denial and enter into the many facets of grief, fully aware that they are normal and expected emotions. Because of your foundation and the books and support you provide, I can finally let the tears flow, the emotions swell, and my heart break, knowing that: Theres nothing wrong with letting your heart break because its always Love that breaks it. (p. 141 of Just Another Spiritual Book). My heart has swollen with love many times, and been broken just as many times, but this time, I know I can surrender the boundaries Ive placed on Love so that I can continue to pursue the boundless Heart of God.
