From TripAdvisor: We took an excursion in July 2013 to Anan Creek and it was amazing! Jim Kosmos was extremely helpful and friendly, gave us an excellent briefing before we departed on bear safety and etiquette. Our pilot was Bob and he was top notch. The flight itself was gorgeous and exciting. We were left at Anan Creek for about 3 hours, where we walked the well-kept trail to the observatory and watched bears, bears and bears. Sows with cubs, hidden bears in their own crevices, all eating to their hearts content. It was magnificent! Mostly big black bears, but we did see a couple grizzlies. One walked out onto the trail just a few feet behind us when we were returning to catch the plane! But we never felt endangered. Just excited! And eagles...they were everywhere also.
