From a Bible that is 98 years old (1916) Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And 1 Peter 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us, (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ. From a Bible that is 16 years old (1998) Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And 1 Peter 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us, (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ. And from a Bible that is new (2014) Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And 1 Peter 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us, (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Now as everyone can clearly see the doctrine of the Bible and of the Church of Christ on baptism and /or being saved is the same today as it was 19 years ago, 98 years ago, or 2000 years ago. I offer this challenge to members of ANY denomination; Go back 16 years, 98 years, or further and see if the doctrines have changed or if they have remained the same. Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever. That means that Christs doctrine and the doctrine of the Bible will NEVER change. Has the doctrine of the church that you are a member of changed over the years? Think about it. Gods plan of salvation: Hear - Matthew 7:24-27; John 12:47-48. Believe- John 3:16; John 8:24; Hebrews 11:6. Repent- Luke 13:3,5; Acts 2:38, 17:30,31, 20:21, 26:20. Confess - Romans 10:9,10; 1 Timothy 6:12. Baptism- Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 22:16; Romans 6:3,4; Galatians 3:27
