[From a fan:] Concept - Amusing scene from a film. Reality - Report of shots fired. Traditional Policing methods agreed. Send two Bobbies along unarmed as there has only been one phone call. Theyre told to withdraw if threatened. Upon arrival they see men with guns. Report back to Control Room. Told to withdraw. Other units told to stay away from the area. Gold Commanders are telephoned and an incident room is set up. Armed Response are called on the Bat-Phone in the station gym and they have a quick shower before making their way to the rendezvous point. Everyone present has a protein shake whilst tactics are discussed. Gold have contacted a negotiator whos tied up 30 miles away but will be along shortly. Units eventually approach an outer cordon. Suspects left two hours earlier. (We jest of course!) ;)
