From a friend in the Oshkosh, WI area. Please help: Urgent need for 5-10 dresser donations! I volunteer with a refugee resettlement organization in Oshkosh. They are in desperate need of dressers for 9 people coming from the Congo on Wednesday (1/22). The Congo is one of the most brutal countries in the world for refugees because of all of the natural resources. Only about 1% of the hundreds of thousands of refugees in camps around the world ever get out. Its a miracle, to say the least, that these 9 people were able to escape, but they are coming with only a few personal belongings. Dresser donations are tax-deductible and greatly appreciated, especially appreciated, but not limited to coming from the Appleton area since that is where they will be settling.
