From a friend of mine who visited the vile establishment known as Cuddles Cat Cafe.: Was at Cuddles Cat Cafe for an hour and it was an hour too long. I watched people laughing and smiling and chiding cats for being naughty and unco-operative while they surrounded, cornered, prodded, enveloped the cats in their arms while they struggled. It was sickening. I know they say that its a business and its profit making yes, but you cant justify profit-making with treatment bordering on abuse. Two of the cats were apparently suffering from indigestion (hmm I wonder why), and one of them just refused to eat. Feeding involved being surrounded by humans and eating from the same plate as multiple cats and people taking the opportunity to wind their hands all around the cats because they were eating and they needed the food and couldnt run away to the backroom (as most of them did throughout my entire hour there) for refuge because if they did, the other cats would have eaten their share of the food. And the owners talked about wanting to spread news of their business and getting SMUs PAWS on board. Yes they are SMU alumni. They are either really stupid or ruthless or they were really stupid in the beginning and realised that after theyve sunk everything into this business and the hoo-ha went up, they couldnt back out. I cannot say this enough, but DO NOT GO THERE.
