From a member: Hello, I would like some help in this matter. I have been diagnosed with PTSD and have been seeing a counselor for over a year. Yesterday my counselor told me that she was recommending me for a MEB. She just gave me the small details about the process, but now that I was able to get in my computer and do some research I have read that it can be a temporary disability retired. So I will continue treatment and if they see me fit with in 5 years they can put me back in Active duty. I have other problems like back, knee and foot problems but have not been able to get them on file even though I have been receiving treatment. So my question is does anyone know more about this and is it really possible that they can put you back on active duty, and if they do for how long? Would you have to sign a new contract? I am really confused now, thanks for all your help.
