From a member: I have a question. I am going through a very hard time. My husband and I just had our 7 year anniversary. My husband has been on several deployments but his last combat deployment a few years ago was very traumatic for him. For years since I have watched him struggle with depression, ptsd, and a tbi. He has isolated himself completely from his family. A few months ago he was on a non - combat deployment. It was just a few months after the birth of our second child. He emailed me and said that he wasnt happy and wasnt in love with me anymore. He agreed to try and work things out but since he returned things have been a roller coaster. Overnight he stopped saying he loves me, stopped showing any physical affection. He moved out for a while and came back home claiming that it really hurt him when he saw our lives going on without him. I am being told by so many that this is the ptsd talking and that he does really love me and to hang on there. Its so confusing the ways he acts, its like a mind game. It doesnt seem like he wants me to leave but he still shows no love. Im struggling here. Its starting to feel like maybe he actually doesnt love me. Can anyone who has been here please help? I love him and want to stay and help him work through this but Im not sure how much more I can take. He has started therapy a little over a month ago and started meds this week. I am hanging on by a thread.
