From a member: My husband is going for a PTSD substance abuse evaluation at the VA tomorrow. I will be there with him. I am nervous and anxious about how it will all go and I am positive he must be more anxious and uncomfortable than I am. Can anybody provide insight as to what to expect in this process? We were told to walk in and the earlier we are there the better the chance is we will be seen (but not guaranteed) this is terribly frustrating to me. We finally are getting to this point and its only a maybe to be seen. Any insight or advice would be much appreciated. In case it makes any difference he is an OIF/OEF veteran. We are fighting for our marriage at this point. And Im so scared we will get no help tomorrow.
