From a member: My wife and I have been married for a couple months now, I knew going into the relationship and marriage knowing she has Ptsd. She frequently posts to this page, especially in the past week. I have to say, I have NO FREAKING CLUE as to how to be there, I dont understand PTSD. Ive read web sights about it but theres nothing there for spouses who dont have it or have never dealt with it. Shes suicidal but doesnt have the energy to follow through with the thoughts. Her thoughts of suicide are becoming more and more frequent. Shes on a real bad downhill slide despite the fact shes getting help. Has an appointment on Thursday. She comes to me for help and lashes out when I tell her idk how to help. I need advise please!!! If someone on here could explain how PTSD works in Barney terms and talk to me about it. Im desperate...
