From a momma: I have an issue our non tube feed child is going to need a feeding tube. He is six and the same size as his 3 year old tube fed brother. He will have a ng tube at first. He is very small but will eat a few bite can take about 500 calories a day. But my question is How does anyone tube feed two children on bolus feeds? Im scared for him because he has to have all this done at the age of six when his brother was only 11 weeks old. How do I prepare him. We are looking at AMT NG tube but is there any that work better needs to be flexible. Thank you for any help.
