From a photography point of view the main arena at WEG was not very well thought out (much like the rest of the set up to be honest). Why oh why would you set the back drop of a grass bank and wire/ wooden post fence opposite the photography points. I really do understand the need for disabled view platforms, but no one in a wheelchair could make it through the mud and down the hill into the valley as it was far to steep.So the whole front edge was empty.Then to add to the mix, spectators would be standing on the bank, like randomly. The main arenas at Badminton and Burghley were better suited. Tonights 2 photos taken at WEG illustrate my point. Lucy Jackson riding Willy Do in the warn-up area and then in the main arena. As a photographer i wish do show the sport we follow in its best light, they dont make it easy sometime.. Be lucky stay safe.
