From all off our committee we are highly greatful to every person that helped us bring relay for life to ballyfermot, from teams, to all those who sponsored our teams and provided them with spot prizes for their fundraising. To all the companies that provided us with what we needed to make the event happen. We are overwhelmed with the turn out we got and the support from our community, we never expected it to be so big in our first year. The teams where amazing the effort you put in to make your tent special on the day and your dedication to walking 24hrs was amazing, even in the rain. Our cancer survivors thank you, for sharing your stories and allowing us to celebrate with you. You are a true inspiration and a symbol of hope for everyone. To all those who performed on the day to keep us entertained thank you. A Hugh thank you to Daithí de Róiste for being our MC for the day, you really kept the atmosphere up. Starting this journey we didnt know what to expect, but we knew ballyfermot is a great community and when it comes to helping a good cause, they all rally together, but you exceeded our expectations and truly made the event the best day of ours lifes. All the hard work and stress was worth it seeing the way ballyfermot came together as one to fight back against an illness that affects so many. Thank you to the Irish Cancer Society for allowing us to bring relay to ballyfermot. We hope we made you proud. You do amazing work and help so many people, for that we are greatful. A Hugh thank you to Matt Lewis from the ICS, who helped us but this event together , we probably couldnt have done it without you. The candle of hope ceremony was something very special to remember our loved ones, and the crowd that turned out was amazing. Again we never expected it, you made our experience truly amazing.
