From an early age Marty Babayov embodied the entrepreneurial spirit. When he was in high school he started buying clothes from local stores in his hometown and sold them on eBay for a small profit. Soon the Michigan native decided to start his own online business, which he called The Suit Depot. He chose to keep his headquarters in Michigan because of his deep roots in the area and the business-friendly environment. The Internet has helped Marty’s business grow by delivering to a multitude of new customers every year and by exposing his products to an international audience. The Suit Depot could not survive exclusively as a traditional brick-and-mortar store by selling its products to such a limited population. Even though the Detroit and Oak Park area have recently struggled economically, Marty makes a special effort to hire locally, helping those in his community who may be unemployed.
